A Great Public Education Isn’t Free!

Snowden School Foundation bridges the gap between public funding and what is needed to provide a high quality education that our children deserve.

Snowden School Foundation promotes charitable and planned giving to benefit our public school.  Your contribution will:

  • Support teachers’ professional development
  • Reward and honor outstanding teachers and staff
  • Provide all students with expanded learning opportunities and materials
  • Promote the physical and mental well-being of all students
  • Maintain and enhance our historic buildings and grounds

What We Fund

Grants to Teachers.  Teachers need support for innovative learning projects, professional development opportunities, and equipment and supplies.

Investments in School Infrastructure.  We are seeking funding now to renovate the libraries, bathrooms, cafeteria, and auditorium, and to purchase computers, smart boards, software, and other learning technologies.

Educational and Physical Activity Opportunities for Students.  Our students need unique, supplemental programs in the arts and sciences, off-campus learning opportunities, and enhanced physical education programs.

Maintenance of School Grounds.  We will fund projects to landscape the school grounds, repair sidewalks and signage, and maintain and ensure safety of playground equipment.

Community Involvement.  Our school greatly benefits from programs that bring business employees and community organization members into the school to assist with tutoring, mentoring, after-school programs, reading programs, clubs, and service projects.
